Leopards Fall to Cardinals

The Lincoln Leopards (3-4) faced off against the El-Saline Cardinals (5-2). Having already secured a post-season berth, the Leopards were still playing for a potential home playoff game. If they could beat the Cardinals, the Leopards would host their first home playoff game in more than a decade.

Lincoln Junior High Football Can’t Be Beat!

Our blue and white hats go off to the Leopards Junior High School football team as they finished the season undefeated with a record of 6-0. For the second year in a row, the Leopards dominated their season with no losses. Not only do they win all their games, but they do so in easy fashion. Their defense is stifling to teams which often results in turnovers or punts. Their offense moves the ball with ease, either by air or ground, and they rack up points at a dizzying pace. Not one of the games in the last two seasons has been a close affair. The Leopards are used to putting away their opponents in the second or third quarter of games. The team hardly ever showed a weakness. They will be a fun group to watch as they continue to grow bigger and stronger in high school! Congrats to all the JH players and coaches on a fantastic season!

HUGE DISTRICT WIN FOR LEOPARDS

HUGE DISTRICT WIN FOR LEOPARDS

The Leopards (1-4) drove two hours each way Friday night for a district game against the Washington County Tigers (41). Coming off of a tough loss at home to the Clifton Clyde Eagles, the Leopards looked to get back on track. By securing a second district win, the Leopards would guarantee themselves a playoff berth. Easier said than done as the Tigers entered the game having destroyed four of their five opponents. In addition, the Leopards were faced with an aggressive crowd as the bleachers shook with home fans in full throat.
